Well, shit.
Jan. 13th, 2007 06:15 pmJust when I thought everything was peachy, my room was going to be clean in an hour or so, my Christmas stuff was almost put away--I have to do something dumb.
I'm not sure if I tripped or if I just hit the box and lost my balance, but the next thing I know, my leg twisted in this really violent manner and I heard three cracky-poppy sounds.
Now, my mom tore her ACL about 20 years ago, and two people I know have torn theirs in the past month, and that's the first thing I think. It hurt sooooo bad--I haven't been in that kind of agony since I slammed my fingers in the car door, and that throbbed, so there was a little reprieve. This was a steady, complete pain, and it still hurts--this happened around two hours ago. Walking is...well, interesting, and straightening my leg or bending it more than 90 degrees are both no-nos.
We're going to stick it out today and tomorrow, and if it still hurts on Monday, to the doctor's we go (despite the fact that I have three doctor's appointments that day too).
Wonderful.
Shit.
nebulia out.
