nebulia: a nebula (dark roses)
Have been typing like mad in the past few days.

So, here's an update, and some snippets (entirely unedited, rough drafts):

Dark Roses: coming along. An update no later and 31/8/06.

a snippet from chapter 18... )

horrors: still editing. will make a major chapter dump before november, so I can get some of this NaNoWriMo guilt off my chest.

a snippet from part ii: path... )

Upcoming Fics:

Bleeding Heart: The Memory Room-- This is a RK fic that takes a slightly sci-fi approach to Enishi's Jinchuu (considerably less reasonable than Gein's doll), and also an AU (duh), post vol. 23. Hopefully rather creepy. I may post the prologue (which is finished) soon.

a snippet from Bleeding Heart: The Memory Room prologue... )

One Night in Kyoto: is still being researched, as there is a LOT of research involved in this. It's RK, and I don't think it's going to be an AU...not really, though I'm definitely going to fiddle with the Bakumatsu and Meiji timeline and maybe fix the weather to what I need. But I have a little bit written.

a snippet from One Night in Kyoto... )

Untitled: This is an Ouran High School Host Club fic, taking place eleven years post-manga. When Tamaki's father dies, he loses himself in school (eventually workin so hard he surpasses Kyouya as the top of the class) and then work. When Kyouya, bored, decides to play a little matchmaker, Haruhi finds herself helping Tamaki regain his inner child. TamakiHaruhi, with a teeny, totally random side helping of RengeKyouya, because it's silly. Features all host club memebers and Nekozawa, because I love them.

Others will have to wait . But that's about it. Dark Roses, horrors, and Bleeding Heart are longer, the first two bordering on epic. One Night in Kyoto will probably be either an extremely long oneshot or 4-8 fairly long chapters. I'm not sure how long the Host Club fic will be.

Anywho...there you go.

Well, my wisdom teeth are out. Yesterday morning, they knocked me out--the oddest feeling ever; they had the laughing gas on me for a while, while they put the iv in and basically got me ready for it, and then they turned on the general anesthetic and the last thing I remember, I was feeling a little bit like my head was seperated from my body, and the next thing I knew, I was sitting in a recovery chair, my mouth packed with gauze and numb as could be--and they took out my teeth.

the worst part of it was the fact that I couldn't eat or drink anything for six hours before the surgery. That's not too bad; however, that included water. I was so fucking thirsty...and afterwards, while sitting the recovery chair, I kept asking the nurses....and I had to wait a whole hour so that Mom could take the packing out before giving me water, which hurt to drink anyway.

And whenever the pain meds wore off...oh, dear God, it hurt soooooo bad! I was whimpering and moaning and sounded generally like I was dying, it hurt so bad. Worse, even, than a charlie horse, which I have gotten so severely some nights that I wake up screaming.

good news, though: I've started typing up chapter 18 to Dark Roses. I wrote out the beginning the Saturday before I left for Austria, but I've finally started to type it up. the other good news: i've created a soundtrack to dark roses. Check it out:

Why, you ask, am I up at fucking six twenty in the morning when I don't have school?

Simple. I slept all day yesterday. I woke up at four and haven't really been able to go back to sleep yet. I mean, I dozed a little, but...gah.

So, back to Dark Roses I go--

I UPDATED DARK ROSES!

Yes, folks, chapter 17 is up. Be happy, as I'm rather happy with it. Beast made me happy in it. XD

It is a little shorter than my usual chapter, only a little over 3000 words, but I was pretty proud of it.

Unfortunately, Chapter 18 will probably not be up until after I get back from Austria, which puts us at June 27 at the earliest. But there's always hope, so cross your fingers.

As a note, I will probably mass-update horrors soon, which means dumping, like five edited chapters into it. cheer for me. w00t.

So go read ch. 17 and tell me what you think! Here's the link:

Yep.

BTW, the RK soundtrack is amazing. Amazing.

i love Spiral.

love love love! it's one of my favorite animes...oh, it's too cool. mystery and a good dub, even,, and wonderful voice actors on both sides of the ocean and great artwork and a fascinating, intriguing, hooking, damn-it-i've-got-to-fucking-know-what's-gonna-happen=next storyline and eyes rutherford is beautiful...*dreamy sigh...drool*

so i just watched the second dvd today, again, and i was reminded of how wonderful it is. mysteries really are highly underrated. mmmm...eyes rutherford is flipping sexy...*still drooling* angsty musicians are the epitome of hot.

and i'm glad it's friday. this week was a bitch, let me tell you. i'm feeling pretty good, just really tired. i'll probably go to bed soon, even though it's so early. it will just be nice. and i feel like i'm about to drop dead right now.

anyway, so i have to finish dark roses by may 25 'cause i accidentally turned it into a school project. i don't have to make it anything special, just keep doing what i'm doing, but i have to finish it in 20 days. AAAAAAHHHH!! yeah, i'm not sure how i'm gonna do it. and johatsu, my short story that is the main part of this project, has to be done in ten. i hope to finish it next week, though. *crosses fingers*

the issue with dark roses, though, is that i never have to worry about the prose sounding too horrible; i've got a pretty set style. i just am not quite sure how to fill everything and string it all together. the issue with johatsu is the exact opposite...i know exactly what's going to happen, i've just got to make it sound good...argh.

and i took another quiz. when did i get addicted to these things? i know not...

You Are a Retrospective Soul

The most misunderstood of all the soul signs.
Sometimes you even have difficulty seeing yourself as who you are.
You are intense and desire perfection in every facet of your life.
You're best described as extremely idealistic, hardworking, and a survivor.

Great moments of insight and sensitivity come to you easily.
But if you aren't careful, you'll ignore these moments and repeat past mistakes.
For you, it is difficult to seperate the past from the present.
You will suceed once you overcome the disappoinments in life.

Souls you are most compatible with: Traveler Soul and Prophet Soul

it's pretty true, too.

plotbunnies...fortunately, they've begun to leave me alone. i guess they understand my desperation...at least i hope so. sometimes i think plotbunnies speak proto-european or something and thus know absolutely no modern language. sometimes i wonder if i speak proto-european, considering half the time i don't understand myself...gah, i'm tired.

however, in the new stuff category, i've gotten some ideas for songwriting. ooh! i haven't written songs or poetry in a while, and it's interesting how much my stuff has improved.

so. i'd better go to bed. yep. to dream of eyes rutherford...oh, he is a sexy beast.

yeah, i'm feeling kinda odd. you know who else is sexy? kira sakuya from angel sanctuary...*drool*. angel sanctuary is my favorite manga ever. don't watch the anime/ova/thing ever...it's traumatizing. really. i have had nightmares.

long entry...hmm...ados, then.

And...well, the chapter's coming along nicely. i added about 1500 words today during seventh hour...and I'm liking it, i think. so things are good.

i have homework, but i don't particularly want to do it. i'm hoping to finish the chapter by friday, which means an update by sunday, hopefully...? yay! i want to update much faster now. It's just a bad case of procrastination...once i get started the chapter just usually rolls out with ease.

So, I've already started chapter seventeen of Dark Roses. I've got about the first, oh, two paragraphs down, but I was just wondering what everyone thought. I'm not so sure qabout them, so feedback makes me happy.

It's a filler chap, so the basic plot of it is, well, kind of Calix and Beast becoming friends. And some about Regali's boyfriend. And beginning to clear up a couple of loopholes in the New Revolution (as the movements in Vanderwood and the city are now being called).

So here it is...

So, yeah. There's the beginning of it. I kinda like it, but I'm not so sure, so tell me what y'all think.

I'm also stuck on a title for the chapter. I'm thinking something along the lines of 'animal' or something, as as you may have noticed, each title kind of sums up the theme of the chapter.

Also, I'm always on the lookout for a better title of the story itself, so if any of you have any ideas, I'd welcome them greatly.

Yes, as shown above, I have updated Dark Roses...cheer for me! It's been like four months when I said it would be a coupple of weeks. I'm bad. Very bad.

So, here's the link. I would love you forever if you checked it out. And commented. Please comment!

so..wrote a lot of dark roses tongiht, but the chapter's not quite done. i thought i'd post on of my favorite parts right now, though, and see what you think. if you know the story, these are characters i haven't visited in a while, and you get to see some of their inner thoughts. also, definitely rated pg-13 for a some pretty heavy sexual references. these are two seperate parts of the chapter. w00t.

anywho, here it is...

OK, some italicized stuff in there that I didn't HTML, so there's no emphsis where there should be, but I think you guys get the drift.
