Was randomly hanging out in the HP fanfic archive on FFN and thus, was fiddling around with the character settings and seeing what random shit was out there.

And was absolutely horrified that there was no Myrtle/Neville ficcage out there.

Naturally, I just decided that that was the best crack! pairing in the HP fandom just now, but still! No one else has come to this wonderful conclusion? The shame!

I will, obviously, have to add to the lackingness of NevilleMyrtle. I may have to make an icon. XP

Class today. It was a TON of fun; I'm so glad it's going to be good. I actually kinda like the teacher and there's only 11 people in my class, which is good. ^_^ I'm liking the level of independence I have as well, and I'm making friends, all of which is good.

A lot of RK fans here...:) I'm really happy to find some people who like what I like.

They don't like the manga enough, though. :(

Whatev, anyone who likes RK is good enough for me.

Anyone ever looked closely at the story about Kenshin and Chizuru at the end of volume one? Or, more accurately, looked at the thugs Kenshin decimates?

Yeah. They're the Juppongatana.

You only get a few pictures--i.e., two, in volume 21--of pre-burnt!Shishio, but, other than the hair, the leader is definitely him. And the gang--you can see a very serious Soujiro and an Anji, and in the corner--behind Kenshin's right leg--of the picture, you can see a glaring, girly-looking guy with a haldberd--obviously Kamatari's precusor.

I also reread Five Things that Never happened to Kamiya Kaoru and decided that it needs editing. Even in the few short months since posting that, my writing style has matured--I have matured--and some of it needs...help. Happy endings are still appealing, but I also like the bittersweet, open ones. Sad endings are just sad.

I am fairly happy with Conversations at this moment, and it's pretty much all canon mangaverse, so it's not like I can go wrong with the plot there. Maybe I'll read it again in a few months, and I'll be like, 'whoa. this sucks.' And maybe I'll still like it. Who knows?

and my LJ posting thing is a bit different. I don't mind it; it's just odd. disorienting.

Worked tonight. Had two very kooky different groups, but one couple:

Lady: I want the potato with the chicken chili on it...

Me: Fiesta?

Man (At the same time as me): Fiesta?

Lady: YES! That's the one I want! With sour cream! and extra sour cream on the side! Lots of sour cream! I looooove sour cream!

Man: And I'll have the lite potato. Without sour cream. *chuckles*

Lady: No, you want the sour cream *emphasized* on the siiiiiide.

Man: huh--oooooh. On the siiiiiide. Yes, on the siiiiiide.

That woman was obsessed with sour cream. She even came up later for more.

and the other group was just funny, because they were talking about ultrasounds and how they could be wrong or right.

Man 1: Well, you know, Adam was supposed to be a girl...

Woman 1: That was 20 years ago, dear. I'm sure technology is better nowadays.

Woman 2: And so-and-so's kid is supposed to be a boy.

Man 2: Can't imagine 'em gettin' that one wrong.

Woman 1: No, sirree.

Reading Margaret Atwood's "Happy Endings" for Lit class. Am in love, and it reminds me of the five things that never happened... scenario.

So on top of NaNoWriMo residual inspration, I started two other fics. "Five Ways to Break Himura Kenshin's Heart" and a 10 x 100 taking place during the dead-Kaoru sequence of Jinchuu.

I wrote the 10 x 100 entirely tonight, and then the super-long oneshot I've been working on...well, here ya go.

So, I gave up on NaNoWriMo. The thing is, though, I feel okay with it. Those last couple of days it was just no fun to write; I was adding wordcount just because I needed to and I was bored out of my mind. Writing's no fun if I hate it; so I feel okay that I quit. Because I wasn't doing something I loved. In December, I plan to make a Nebulia Writing Month...and I'll edit a couple more horrors chapters and finish another Dark Roses chapter. Then I'll see what I can do about updating (GAH!)

In other news, I've definitely been writing. I don't know if any of the ideas I've had are any good, but I'm detirmined to write and angsty Matantei Loki fic and I also want to make Spirited Away dark and creepy. Because it would be really good dark and creepy. Not to mention the post-volume-three Kami-Kaze smut-plotless-fic. If you haven't read Kami-Kaze, go read it. Now. I think it's my second-favorite manga, after Angel Sanctuary. Third's probably RK, and By the Sword, Saiyuki, Her Majesty's Dog, DoD, and Black Cat are probably up there.

But I digress. I've also got a couple of RK fics...foremost presently in my mind in this fandom are two fics I'm researching but haven't actually started writing yet...*sigh* One's the childhood of Kaoru--from birth literally up until the first page of RK (I've got the beginning and end written). It's really going to be just this absolutely huge character exercise for Kaoru, because there's her, Oguni-sensei, Maekawa-sensei, Uramura, and a smidgen of Tae, but all other characters have to be original.

So that's the news. I babysit tonight...if I can pick up connection I might do something. What, I dunno.

Last night fianlly picked up Ergo Proxy. I only watched the first half of the first episode, but it looks amazing. and the DVD came with the OST...which is fabulous.

And I have a new idol, along with Victor Hugo, Ghandi, Buddha, Milton and Einstein: Moses Mendelssohn. Freakin' sweet, man.
