Bought the first volume of samurai 7 yesterday. Amazing. And Katsushiro is too cute. I also really, really like the Japanese cast; so much that I haven't even listened to the dub at all.
I did, however, watch Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok on the dub for the first time, and nearly died. What is with Koutarou's voice?! Gah! It's as bad as Muraki's (on Descendants of Darkness...*traumatization* But Loki, Yamino, and Mayura pretty good, though Mayura can't scream worth a damn. Narugami is okay and grownup!Loki sounds like he's a thirteen-year-old going through puberty (yeah...real grown up, I know). And Heimdall, is, of course, amazing...but he's Greg Ayres, the god of dubbing. So of course he's amazing.
So a decent dub. Nah, a good dub. Not as good as Spiral or any of Miyazaki's dubs (Miyazaki dubs are AMAZING! I love Princess Mononoke (of course, it's my fav. movie anyway) and Howl's Moving Castle.
Ummm...hmmm...family birthday party tonight and babysitting tomorrow morning. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to see if I can finish Johatsu and the next chapter of Dark Roses...I hope *crosses fingers*. I've gotten a lot done on Johatsu...I'm almost done, but Dark Roses is still about 60% along.
So...yep.
