A good Christmas.

As the title said.

I got Grey's Anatomy season two and over the hedge and a .Mac accound, and U2 greatest hits and a digital camera (not on my list, but cool!) and Final Fantasy XII (YAY!) and it was all cool. Oh, and I got a three-hole punch. Yay!

So it was good. I was happy. I am happy.

Mom and Dad and I aren't fighting and the dogs are being pretty good. So...I'm happy.

Content, I guess.

nebulia out.

Heart writing muches. My decided majors--since eighth grade--have been a double major in creative writing and history. So of course I'm applying. I don't think I'll get in, but if I don't, I'll try again after undergraduate. My Creative Writing and ELP teacher got in, so I'm really happy to be learning from her.

Are you applying?

Yeah, I want to be one of those people who speaks a zillion languages. Well, at least 6 (Latin (as well as it can be spoken, at least), English, French, Japanese, German, and Mandarin). I'd be happy with six.

John Hopkins and Georgetown are both great--I checked them out last year, but they cramp my style XP. It's going to be liberal arts for me, most likely.

Yeah, I'd settle for those--although maybe Spanish too; that'd be pretty useful. And Greek, since I already sort-of-kind-of know it.

No, I'm not applying to the Iowa Writing Workshop. I love writing and everything, but I'm not sure I want to study it/make a career of it. :) If somebody randomly offered me a spot there, I would accept it gladly, of course, but I'm planning on just studying languages. :D

Yeah, liberal arts sounds pretty cool--I mean, there's just so much I want to study: biology, physics, chemistry, math, classics, modern languages, linguistics, English, history, yadda yadda yadda... I have a strange feeling I'm going to end up being one of those perpetual scholars who has, like, 10 degrees, but no real job. XD

Ditto that. I'm thinking I'll get a degree in library science and live in a library. Or maybe own a bookstore. Or be a professor.

If my novel doesn't hit the bestseller list, that is. XP

Yeah, that's what I'm figuring. A degree in library science wouldn't hurt even if I got an actual job--you can get one over the internet while you're doing... whatever, schooling or working, and then if you're ever out of a job, somebody, somewhere needs a librarian. :)

I bet it will! :D Or at least, it will be awesome and achieve critical acclaim. And I will buy a copy. So you will have, like, $20 at least. XD

[identity profile] nebulia.livejournal.com 2006-12-31 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
20 dollars is enough to buy three books or two manga volumes or x number of discount dvds. I'm happy with that. XP

Yup, you're set! XD

...unless you want food. Oh well, that's what ramen's for! (Actually, I find ramen kind of disgusting, but, it's, y'know, cheap.)

[identity profile] nebulia.livejournal.com 2007-01-01 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe...I am one of those people who could literally live off of ramen (and potato pancakes). Cheap, and I love it. I also eat it dry, which is really gross to everyone but me, but I still love it. *sigh*

[identity profile] la-pia.livejournal.com 2007-01-02 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhhh, you eat it dry? Ewww. XD

Hahah, my mom kind of ruined any joy I got out of ramen when she showed me how much sodium was in it. ^^

[identity profile] nebulia.livejournal.com 2007-01-02 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe...the soduim doesn't bother me. Though it doesn't always equivalate, to me, sodium usually means salt, and I love salt. LCA and I decided that my preferred way to go was stroke, due to massive sodium intake. So while I hate doughnuts and maple syrup, my real guilty pl,asure as far as super-unhealthy things go is my love of salt (I put it on anything that isn't sweet or sour). *sigh* It'll be my death, I'm sure of it.

[identity profile] la-pia.livejournal.com 2007-01-02 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess a stroke might be better than a heart attack... XD

Me, I'm way too addicted to sugary/sweet things. So I'll probably end up diabetc, haha yay. XD

And Happy New Year!
