Swift Death to Crappy Romance Novels

If you like vampire smut or romance novels, I'm presently reading the best one I've ever read. I'm the Vampire, That's Why, by Michele Bardsley.
This protagonist's voice is AMAZING. Seriously. She's hilarious. It's sexy, funny, the love interest id the bet misture of sexgod and clueless I've ever read, and the smut is good too. The plot is above average; not great,, but certainly good, but the characters are so fabulous and unique and NOT PERFECT OMG that it's still great.
The first actually good romance novel that I'm not reading for the smut. Though the smut is very sexy, don't get me wrong
*happy dance*
More classically, I'm reading Toni Morrison's Beloved right now, too. I recommend it as well, though you need to have your full attention on it...it's also mildly disturbing in some places, but I am enamoured with it. It's very intense, talented reading, with a dash of humor every once in a while, a ton of angst, drama, and sexual content (though not really sex, all that often, and rarely pretty...oh, you just have to read it so see what I mean) and it's really, really excellent. Though very confusing. But excellent.
I love finding good books!
